Assunta Ruocco

Assunta Ruocco is an artist and researcher based in Nottingham, UK. Her practice focuses on the role of technologies and collaboration in the emergence of artworks. She works with painting, installation, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital technologies, and the relationships between these media. She is interested in exploring ideas of expanded authorship and in making work where artistic decision making is delegated to collaborators, or machines. Her practice based PhD at Loughborough University School of the Arts, explored how the things with which artists work can be seen as co-workers. Forthcoming is ‘Our Days of Gold’ a two-person exhibition with photographer Daniel T. Wheeler at the Italian Cultural Centre in Hamburg, Germany in November 2019.
