Marelys Valencia

Marelys Valencia holds a PhD in Romance Studies. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Latin American Literature and Culture at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, USA. Previously, she was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish and Latin American Studies at the University of Miami. Her articles on Cuban media, documentary cinema and performance art, as well as global Latinx, have appeared in Latin American Theatre Review, Cuadernos AISPI, Cuban Studies, Letras Femeninas, Temas and Routledge. Prior to academia, Marelys worked for important media in Latin America and USA.
