Tammy Law
Tammy Law is a photographer and academic whose research revolves around narratives that are reflective of her experiences as an Asian-Australian. The differences between act as catalysts for her interrogation of transnational mobility through her photographic practice. Since 2007, she has exhibited her work regularly across Australia and internationally. Law’s work was included in the Yangon Photo Festival in 2018 and her artist book Permission to Belong won the 2018 ANZ Photobook People’s Choice Award. Permission to Belong was a central component of Law’s doctoral research at RMIT University that explored the complexities of displacement and the emotional, psychological and physical dislocations that occur through transnational relationships.
