Jéssica Varrichio

Jéssica Varrichio curated the museu do louvre pau-brazyl from 2016 to 2021. She has edited three books autobiography of monalisa [meli-mello press, 2016]; where is pedro américo? [riso tropical, 2018] and reds [riso tropical, 2020]. Recent published essays include «The Imaginary Museum Inhabiting Louvre Building», «Mon Couer Balance», «The Acts», «Cloud in Trousers – Desire Machine» on the occasion of Pia Eikaa’s exhibition Street Haunting and «Imaginary Translations» about Marina Simão’s work. She was curatorial assistant at Pivô Art and Research and Núcleo Contemporâneo assistant at the Museum of Modern Art in São Paulo. She was part of the jury of Brasil Award 2017 in Quito. Besides the curatorial practice she is an actor/performer. She has collaborated with the dramaturge Giulia Damiani in the creation of the plays The water rivulets among the fire [2018] and Emma B. Is Not Dead [2020]. She is Brazilian-born currently based in London.
