Phoebe Moore
Phoebe V. Moore is Professor of Management and the Futures of Work at Essex Business School, University of Essex. Her transdisciplinary research examines the changing world of work, with particular expertise in artificial intelligence, algorithmic management, workplace surveillance, the quantified worker, and workers’ rights. She has published extensively on technology and work, including The Quantified Self in Precarity: Work, Technology and What Counts and, with Jamie Woodcock, Augmented Exploitation: Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Work. Alongside her academic research, Moore has advised and collaborated with organisations including the European Commission, European Parliament, International Labour Organization, EU-OSHA, and the European Trade Union Confederation on AI, digitalisation, occupational safety, and workers’ rights.
