Tack! Installation by Cem A. at HDK-Valand

Cem A.

The site-specific installation titled "Tack!" builds on Cem A.'s on-going interest in linguistic landscape in art institutions. It focuses on the abundance of laminated signs that can be observed across the spaces of HDK-Valand. It questions the hegemony of signs -laminated signs in particular- within the context of educational institution. Rather than countering their existence, the intervention satirises the signs by echoing the power that is encapsulated in the process of lamination.
