Naoko Sumi
Born in Hiroshima, Japan. Curator at the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art from 2006 until the end of March 2025. Chief curator at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, from April 2025.
Recent exhibitions she has curated include ‘Before/After’ (2023), ‘Tintin Wulia: Things-in-Common’ (2024–25) (all at the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art), ‘The Constitution of Japan Exhibition 2024’ (2024, Tokyo), and ‘APERTO 21 NOMURA Yuka “Golden River”’ (2026, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa).
